The Honorable Tim Sanders (Madison) was honored at the Madison County Courthouse for his 24 years of service as Clerk and Comptroller on Friday.
The ceremony included many guest speakers, highlighted by the reading of a Congressional Resolution by Bill Nelson, U.S. Senator. Senator Nelson joined other local dignitaries in highlighting Clerk Sanders’ career and the public service he has provided to the citizens of Madison County.
Clerk Sanders has served as the Madison County Clerk and Comptroller since 1993 and served as President of the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers in 2004-05. Many current and former Clerks were also in attendance.
The Honorable Ricky Lyons was honored by Lafayette County on December 9, 2016, for his 28 years of service. Many current and former Clerks were also on hand during the ceremony to honor Clerk Lyons, who has served as the Lafayette County Clerk and Comptroller since 1989 and served as President of the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers in 2006-07.
Also being honored recently was longtime Alachua County Deputy Clerk Mary Grace Curtain who is retiring from the Clerk’s office. She was recognized for 48 years of outstanding service, loyalty and devotion to the office of the Alachua County Clerk of the Circuit Court.
