The Indian River County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller was named one of the Best Places to Work in Indian River County for 2017 recently. The award is presented to local employers whose employment practices are considered the best in the county. Clerk Jeffrey R. Smith, CPA, was presented the award during a breakfast at the Pointe West Country Club. This is the second year in a row that the Clerk’s Office has been recognized as a Best Place to Work.

Presented by CareerSource Research Coast, the award is based on 37 measures. These measures are calculated by Personnel Dynamics Consulting and include categories such as benefits, retirement plans, new hire orientation, training programs, and employee decision making.

“I am very proud that the Indian River County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller has been recognized as a Best Place to Work in the County for a second consecutive year,” stated Clerk Smith. “As a government agency, we are not able to offer our employees the same kinds of fringe benefits or pay as private businesses. I look forward to continuing to foster the type of work environment for my employees that has earned the Clerk’s office this recognition.”
