Martin Clerk Carolyn Timmann appointed to the CRC

The Honorable Carolyn Timmann (Martin) has been appointed to Florida’s Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) by Florida Senate President Joe Negron. One of nine Senate appointees, Clerk Timmann becomes the first Clerk and Comptroller in Florida’s history to serve on the CRC. Clerk Timmann and the eight other Senate appointees join the three appointees recently named by Florida Chief Justice Jorge Labarga. Governor Rick Scott will make fifteen appointments and Speaker of the House Richard Corcoran will make nine appointments. Florida’s Attorney General will also serve.


Florida’s Constitution establishes the 37-member commission, which meets every 20 years to propose amendments to Florida’s Constitution. Amendments proposed by this CRC will go before voters in November 2018.
