Post-Hurricane Michael Recovery

Tallahassee, Fla. – Although all Clerks' and Comptrollers' offices impacted by Hurricane Michael have reopened, services offered by Clerks' and Comptrollers' offices in some counties may be temporarily limited or relocated. The table below lists the most current information available.



Online resources remain available to customers in areas where offices are closed. Child support payments submitted online are being processed. Court filings may be done via the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal  at Local Clerk and Comptroller websites are available for accessing case information.


For questions regarding court dates and traffic tickets, individuals displaced by the hurricane should contact the clerk of court in the county of record. The Clerks and Comptrollers' websites in the affected counties are linked in the charts below.


Currently, the status of the Clerks’ and Comptrollers’ offices for the counties in the Second and Fourteenth Judicial Circuits is as follows:

Opened October 22; full services are now available; all court proceedings for the week of 10/22-26/2018 will be rescheduled; telephone service is intermittent

Holmes County*

Jackson County

Opened October 29; temporarily operating in the Lewis Building (across the street from the Jackson County Courthouse) 2862 Madison Street, Marianna, FL 32448

Washington County

Opened October 25
