On December 11, 2017, the Honorable Sharon R. Bock, Esq. (Palm Beach) held the 20th annual Clerks for a Cause charity event that included an exciting Money Drop at Governmental Center, donations to several Palm Beach County nonprofit organizations, and carols by the Circuit Sound choir. This year, $2,430 in cash, plus a $100 gift card, was collected for Palm Beach Post's Season to Share family: Margaret and Cecil Lennon and their two young grandchildren. The Clerk’s Dress Down Fridays program raised a total of $34,727.10 and was equally distributed amongst five non-profits. Clerk employees also presented 220 gift packages and an additional $2,055.00 to Back to Basics Angel Program.

Throughout 2017, the Clerk’s office also raised $21,207.65 for other non-profits, hurricane relief efforts in Houston, Florida and Puerto Rico, and scholarships. They also donated thousands of school supplies for school children, teddy bears for victims of domestic violence, door wreaths for Habitat for Humanity, and toys and treats to local animal shelters. Employees also volunteered 384 hours to clean up parks and beaches and to mentor children through the Junior Achievement program.

Since 1994, the Palm Beach Clerk’s office has donated more than $850,000 to Palm Beach County non-profits.
