The Florida State Guardianship Association (FSGA) held its 28th Annual Conference in July in the Orlando area, featuring an interactive session with Florida Clerks of Court.
The Friday, July 24, afternoon session, “Everything You’ve Always Wanted to Ask: A Florida Clerk of Court Panel,” was led by the Honorable Sharon R. Bock, Esq. (Palm Beach); the Honorable Ken Burke, CPA (Pinellas); the Honorable Stacy Butterfield, CPA (Polk); and the Honorable Scott Ellis (Brevard); and included staff from the Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, and Lake County Clerks’ offices. The discussion focused on the Clerks’ statutory duty to audit and investigate guardianships, how guardians can develop partnerships with their local Clerk’s office, and an interactive question-and-answer session.
