Constitution Revision Commission will hold hearings in Gainesville and Jacksonville this week

The 2017-2018 Florida Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) will hold public hearings on Wednesday and Thursday of this week on the campuses of the University of Florida and Florida State College at Jacksonville. The details for these hearings are as follows:


·         Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 5 – 8 p.m., EDT, University of Florida Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, 3201 Hull Road, Gainesville, FL 32611


·         Thursday, April 27, 2017, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., EDT, Florida State College at Jacksonville Kent Campus Auditorium, Building F, Room 128, 3939 Roosevelt Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205


Both of these hearings may be viewed live via The Florida Channel or, following their conclusion, via The Florida Channel’s video library dedicated to the CRC.

In addition, specific details have been released for the May 3 hearing in Bay County:


·         Wednesday, May 3, 2017, 4 – 7 p.m., CDT, Gulf Coast State College Amelia Center Auditorium, 5230 West Highway 98, Panama City, FL 32401


Hearings in Lee County (May 10) and Hillsborough County (May 17) are scheduled to follow.


The Honorable Ken Burke, CPA (Pinellas), Chair of the Forerunners Courageous Committee, is in contact with local Clerks and Comptrollers to coordinate attendance and participation at these upcoming hearings.
