Following stop in Lee County, the Constitution Revision Commission heads to Tampa

The 2017-2018 Florida Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) was on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers last Wednesday, holding a public hearing attended by approximately 300 of Florida’s citizens. The association would like to thank the Honorable Linda Doggett (Lee) for attending the hearing and speaking on behalf of Clerks of Court and Comptrollers to highlight the Clerks’ role as technology leaders for Florida’s court system.

This week, the CRC heads to Tampa for a hearing on Wednesday, from 5 – 8 p.m., EDT, at Hillsborough Community College, Dale Mabry Campus, DSTU Auditorium, Room 111 (Student Services Building), 4001 West Tampa Bay Blvd, Tampa, FL 33614. And prior to Wednesday’s hearing, the CRC Rules Working Group will convene from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the same location; the full agenda may be accessed via this link.


The Honorable Ken Burke, CPA (Pinellas), Chair of the Forerunners Courageous Committee, is in contact with local Clerks and Comptrollers and is coordinating participation at hearings.
