Guardianship Improvement Task Force holds virtual meeting; schedules in-person meeting

The Guardianship Improvement Task Force, chaired by the Honorable Ken Burke, CPA (Pinellas), held a meeting via WebEx on Tuesday, September 14, featuring a demonstration of Guardianship Inventory Reports & Accounting For Florida (GIRAFF), a presentation related to court appointed attorneys as well as a panel of family and professional guardians. The website also includes copies of the presentations that the Task Force has received to date.
 
The association would like to send a special thanks to the Honorable Joseph Abruzzo (Palm Beach) and his professional team for the GIRAFF demonstration during last week’s meeting. The association would also like to thank the Honorable JD Peacock II (Okaloosa) and the Honorable Crystal Kinzel (Collier) for their continued involvement as Task Force members, representing the Clerk perspective.
 
The next meeting of the Task Force will be held in person on Thursday, September 23, from 9:00 – 3:00 p.m., Eastern, at Florida State University’s Turnbull Conference Center, 555 W. Pensacola Street, Tallahassee, Florida, 32306. The association would like to invite all Clerks who are able to attend.
