Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers New Best Practices Excellence Program

The Best Practices Excellence Program was established in June as an opportunity for Clerks to receive Recognition of Excellence certificates for choosing to complete assessments that evaluate acceptance in seven areas of Best Practices. During the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers’ summer conference, a total of 40 Clerks’ offices were recognized for choosing to complete assessments that evaluate acceptance in seven areas of Best Practices.

 

The 2020-2021 Best Practices Excellence Program evaluated and recognized Clerks and Comptrollers in the following areas:

 

  • Bail Bonds Forfeitures
  • Compliance Services
  • Confidential Judicial Records
  • Guardianship Audit
  • Marriage License
  • Recording Fundamentals
  • Service of Pro Se Documents by Clerk

 

The Honorable Angel Colonneso, Esq. (Manatee), FCCC President, took the opportunity to create a Best Practices Excellence Certificate Wall to display their success and commitment to providing their customers the best service possible while performing the duties of her office.

 

The Best Practices Committee will add more Checklists that will be part of the Best Practices Excellence Program for 2021 – 2022.

 

Jax Daily Record Spotlights Clerks of Court in Northeast Florida for Excellence Awards

Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties were featured in the Jax Daily Record in July for their recognitions in the FCCC Best Practices Excellence program.

 

The Best Practices Excellence Program evaluated and recognized Clerks and Comptrollers in the areas of: Bail Bonds Forfeitures, Compliance Services, Confidential Judicial Records, Guardianship Audit, Marriage License, Recording Fundamentals, and Service of Pro Se Documents by Clerk. 

 

St. John’s was acknowledged for awards in three areas, Duval was acknowledged for awards in four areas, Clay and Nassau were both acknowledged for awards in six areas each.

 

Clay County Clerk and Comptroller and 2020-2021 FCCC President Tara Green was also quoted in the article and provided further context on the development of the Best Practices Excellence Program.
