National Guardianship Association Elects Anthony Palmieri as 2022 President

Tuesday, February 8, 2022   (0 Comments)

Anthony Palmieri, Palm Beach Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s Deputy Inspector General, has been selected as President for 2022 of the National Guardianship Association (NGA).

Palmieri’s role at the Clerk’s office as a nationally recognized leader in guardianship fraud investigations has grown in prominence over the last decade. Since Palmieri joined the Clerk’s office in 2011, he has helped create important checks and balances for guardianship, from the Guardianship Integrity Assurance Hotline that allows people to anonymously report possible cases of fraud in guardianship cases, to the development of an online reporting system for guardians that was recently highlighted by a statewide task force for potential use throughout Florida.

“We are fortunate to have nationally recognized guardianship experts like Anthony Palmieri in Palm Beach County,” Clerk Joseph Abruzzo said. “On behalf of the entire Clerk family, congratulations to Anthony as he takes on this new role leading the National Guardianship Association.”

Palmieri’s new role at the NGA will put him at the forefront of continuing the positive advocacy work both at the Association and at the Clerk’s office.

“It is my vision to continue the important work that was initiated by this year’s hard-working Board,” Palmieri said. “Work that will advance NGA as being the premier source for guardianship training and education and advancing standards of practice and ethical principles.”
