On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, and Wednesday, August 17, 2022, the FCCC Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, and Vice Chairs, attended the fifth annual Leadership Orientation at the Streamsong in Polk County.
The meeting, which is designed to educate FCCC’s leaders on the dynamics, history, and processes of the organization, included presentations by the Honorable Carolyn Timmann (Martin), President, Chris Hart IV, Fred W. Baggett, Esq., Brian Machek, and Sean Hudson.
The meeting opened with a Swearing-In Ceremony for those unable to attend FCCC 2022 Summer Conference, including the Honorable Greg Harrell, Esq. (Marion) as FCCC Secretary, the Honorable Angelina “Angel” Colonneso, Esq. (Manatee), the Honorable Victoria L. Rogers (Hardee), and the Honorable Angela Vick (Citrus).
During the two-day Leadership Orientation, members learned about FCCC and its related entities, board responsibilities, financial standings and policies, governance, and sunshine laws. Additionally, FCCC CEO Chris Hart IV provided an update on the 2021-2022 objectives and goals, a review of upcoming committee assignments and projects, and continued to work with FCCC leadership on the 2028 Strategic Plan.
