The Honorable Ken Burke, CPA (Pinellas), Carolyn Weber, Portal Program Manager, FCCC, and Scott Hartsfield, Director of IT Operations, FCCC hosted a LegalFuel webinar on the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal (E-Filing Portal) on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. They spoke on the proper format to submit to the E-Filing Portal, PDF/A, and cybersecurity, as well as provided a preview of new features to come in the near future. Last fiscal year, the E-Filing Portal had nearly 500,000 separate accounts, 21 million submissions, 30 million documents, and 150 million individual pages transmitted. This past week, as a result of the tort reform bill (HB 837), the E-Filing Portal saw its highest volume of submissions with more than 250,000 new civil cases opened in just a week’s time. 826 attendees joined the live webinar, which can be viewed at www.LegalFuel.com.
