Clerk Marshall Knight Holds Press Conference Introducing Launch of Hope Card Program
Monday, October 14, 2024
Last Thursday, the Honorable Gwen Marshall Knight (Leon), in collaboration with Leon County law enforcement partners, held a press conference to raise awareness for Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October, and to announce the launch of the statewide Hope Card Program.
The Hope Card Program is a vital tool designed to empower individuals who have secured final injunctions for protection against domestic violence and other forms of abuse.
"The card serves as an immediate verification tool, ensuring law enforcement can quickly confirm an individual's protective status, which is essential for enhancing safety during critical moments," shared Clerk Marshall Knight. "Together, through initiatives like the Hope Card Program, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need our help."
