The St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller's Office partnered with George Washington University’s Communication Program (Department of Organizational Sciences and Communication) to engage students in solving real-world public service challenges. This year, students are acting as a PR consulting firm to develop a qualified Public Service Announcement (PSA) for the office's property fraud awareness initiative. By meeting media standards, these PSAs can be aired for free, increasing public awareness and providing a valuable service to St. Johns County residents.
This initiative aligns with "Increasing Clerk Engagement" by fostering collaboration between academia and public service, and "Strengthening Our Posture as Digital Recordkeepers" by emphasizing the importance of utilizing free digital service to protect residents against property fraud. Their goal is to use this as a foundation for a statewide PSA. |
