2025 – 2026 FCCC Leadership Orientation and Hernando County Day Event Held

The Honorable Doug Chorvat Jr., CGCIO, CPM (Hernando), Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) President, kicked off the eighth annual Leadership Orientation on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, followed by the Hernando County Day Event on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Brooksville, Florida.
Those attending included 21 Clerks and Comptrollers serving in leadership roles and FCCC’s Professional Team. The Leadership Orientation included: learning the structure of FCCC and its related entities, governance, finances, FCCC Board responsibilities, committee responsibilities, and the FCCC strategic plan. Presenters included President Chorvat; Chris Hart, FCCC CEO; Brian Machek, CPA, FCCC CFO; Sean Hudson, FCCC Director of Administration & Member Services; and Kimberly Renspie, FCCC Director of Strategic Initiatives. The group was also able to take a “Deeper Dive” into some pertinent topics Clerks will face in the coming year. |

Attendees were also treated to a day of learning more about Hernando County and what it offers its residents and the state of Florida. The day began with a tour of the historical Chinsegut Hill, where many important leaders met during the early 20th Century. Clerks were offered a tour of a Cemex facility and learned about the mining history and current operations in Hernando County. The day concluded with a visit to Weeki Wachee State Park, a Florida tourist attraction renowned for its famous mermaid underwater shows.
