What Clerk Staff Are Saying
“Starting as a new employee with the Clerk’s office in August with no knowledge of what the Clerk of Court or the office’s duties were, the Core Knowledge Certification program has taught me so much not just about my duties and responsibilities
as a Deputy Clerk, but also about what our elected Clerk’s job entails. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and thought that it was well done and provided lots of information."
– Tracy Gay, Deputy Clerk, Gulf County Clerk and Comptroller's Office
"Enrolling in the Core Knowledge Certification Program has been very educational and informative. Not only did it provide me with a more in-depth understanding of the Clerk’s office, but it also gave me access to details and insights
that have elevated my expertise. The conference sessions are incredibly helpful—hearing from leaders, listening to the discussions, and hearing from other Clerk’s offices broadened my perspective in many ways. More importantly,
this program has strengthened my ability to serve others. Through its emphasis on servant leadership, I’ve increased the tools and mindset necessary to lead with empathy, integrity, and vision. It has enabled me to make a lasting
impact in my field and in the lives of those I work with. If you’re looking to expand your knowledge, connect with other Clerks’ offices, and become a stronger leader, I highly recommend this program."
– Kim Lazarus, MBA, Chief People & Engagement Officer, Lee County Clerk and Comptroller’s Office
"The FCCC Core Knowledge Certification Program has been an invaluable resource in my professional development. As someone who joined the Clerk's Office a few years ago, I was initially overwhelmed by the scope of our responsibilities—over
1,000 statutory duties seemed daunting. However, this CORE training breaks down these complex disciplines into digestible segments, providing a comprehensive understanding of our office's vital role. The program's structured approach
transformed my perspective on the clerk's responsibilities from overwhelming to inspiring. Through this training, I've gained not just knowledge but a deeper appreciation for the significant role our office plays not only in the
justice system but in our county and state as well. This enhanced understanding has strengthened my ability to support my colleagues and contribute more effectively to our clerk team. What sets this certification program apart
is its ability to illuminate the interconnected nature of our various duties while maintaining clarity, focus, and encouragement to educate myself in all aspects of the office. It's more than just training—it's a foundation for
excellence in public service."
– Frank Roberts, Chief Operations Officer, Citrus County Clerk and Comptroller’s Office
"The Core Knowledge courses offer an excellent foundation for anyone working in the Clerk family. Thoughtfully designed to be both informative and comprehensive, they cover key aspects that deputy clerks need to understand. Whether
you're new to the field or have decades of experience, there's real value here. After nearly 30 years in the Clerk family, I still found insights and information that were both relevant and useful. These courses are a reflection
of our commitment to be recognized as the premier model of exceptional government."
– Kimberly Thompson, Chief Operations Officer, Deputy Clerk, Pasco County Clerk and Comptroller’s Office
